55 necroes, mod this!
Hey guys, i am making an everything necro basically, so far im a MM/SS/55/vale.
I made the 55 and i did some hydra farmign ad made about 15k from that, and some other stuff, and then, i decide to try out FoW on normal. little did i know........ the shadow monks make it basically impossible to do with the wiki build.
So, can anyone mod this build for me to take out the monks also? i think it would benefit just about every 55 necro out there, thanks guys.
wiki link : http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:N/Mo...SS_Necromancer
thanks guys!
pm me if u need to.

Read the "farming" section on the pvxwiki page. Is FoW listed?

It won't work.
You can't kill the Shadow monks either in NM or HM unless you get extremely lucky without bringing either interrupts or energy-denial. Neither exist in N or Mo skill lines. The grand pulls you would need to pull off to create enough SS damage to overload Word of Healing aren't manageable on a 55 (or 600) necromancer - you'll simply die through PS/SB overload. You can use Technobabble but considering that WoH has a 3/4 seconds cast... Good luck.
Maybe someone else can see an option, I can't.

Fuzzy Taco's Necro farming guide
Fow build: OANFQiFH34rU9AIhW0N4eQeg+g8A
Usage for Shadow Monks:
Quote:
stick the warriors next to the monk and place SS on a warrior, then IP on the monk. when SS recharges, put it on the monk, then spam necrosis to hell and back (or apply Defile Flesh, if you brought it.) the monk will drop relatively quickly.

I don't know if that still works.

Well, Taco certainly knows N farming better than I do. What happens with groups with more than one monk, though...

Spirit Bond isn't vital in a 55 build is it? You could probably take Defile Flesh to weaken their heals and let Necrosis overpower them.

hey guys, i was thinking (this is kinda relevant to the person who posted before me) spirit bond is 60 damage for the next 10 attacks on you..... if i only take 5 damage per hit, 10x5=50 so i cant obtain the benefit, can i? so wouldnt defile flesh work a lot better than that?

Spirit bond triggers before the effects of Protective spirit or indeed, any other form of protection is considered excluding armour.
If an attack would hit you for 70 damage, you'll recieve the healing from Spirit Bond.
Protective spirit will then reduce the 70 damage to 5.
This is why Spirit Bond is an excellent skill along with Protective Spirit.

Hi. FoW is such a bitchy place as a 55 necro since WoH got epibuffed and other stuff happened, so I'd recommend 600/Smiting it with your necro instead. Yeah, I know, bringing a hero is lame et cetera, but you're so efficient it really doesn't matter. Let me dig up some builds... (This is for Hard Mode, definitely)
600 Nec FoW: OANDYzxPP1j7qWcPkH0H0jQC
Smiter hero (or human, if you have cool friends): OwQTQGHD5IldKi4LfyDgyEA
If you don't know what 600/Smiting is, I'd check this out to get the gist of it: http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Team_-_600/Smite_FoW
Needless to say, your run will be slightly different - you'll have to be more offensive since you can only get Spell Breaker once from your Smiter and you have one of the greatest damage skills of all time on your bar. Nothing else changes from the standard build on the wiki page - you still need an enchant lengthening weapon (your smiter should also have a sup Divine Favor on a Divine hat, for level 16 Spell Breaker and Blessed Aura.) Anyway, Shift + click the maintained enchantments on your hero's skillbar to disable them, then manually have him/her cast them on you. Make him/her use Blessed Sig as often as possible (I just leave it enabled, gives Oggy something to do) and micromanage Spell Breaker on yourself before attacking any groups with casters. Mash your first three enchants to stay alive (Prot Spirit, Shield of Absorption, Spirit Bond, in reverse order of importance) and spray SS and IP around to make people die. That build is basic and moddable, feel free to do whatever with it. You can easily clear the first Tower where you spawn in FoW, do Rastigan's quest, the Battlefield (Haha, my Holy Wrath hit a skeleton for googol) and the spider cave (with luck and good positioning/pulling. All the cave spiders from the first spawn on you at once = death by Savage Shot.) Anyway, good luck!
P.S. You can probably 55 it in HM somehow, but it's definitely going to be MUCH less efficient than a 600/Smite team. Trust me, I''ve tried way too hard to get a solid 55 build going in there.
P.P.S. Snowman Lair is an easy solo, Metatail wrote a dandy little guide on it here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10262420 I don't have my Snowman build saved, but it's basically N/A with "I am Unstoppable!", a lot of run skills and stay-alive skills, and SS. You're certainly capable of creating a more efficient bar than the one I threw together to get my Monk Tomes.
